Kenya is where the word safari comes from, and it is still one of the best places on earth to see wildlife. Our Kenya safari packages start in Nairobi and take you to the Maasai Mara for big cats and the Great Migration, Amboseli for elephants beneath Kilimanjaro, Lake Nakuru for rhinos, and the Indian Ocean coast for a beach finish. As a Nairobi-based tour operator since 2011, we plan every detail ourselves.

Best time for a Kenya safari

The long dry season from June to October is the peak time, with the Great Migration in the Maasai Mara. January to February is also dry and less busy. April and May bring the long rains, lower prices and green landscapes. Read our month-by-month Maasai Mara guide.

How much does a Kenya safari cost?

Costs depend on lodges, season and transport. Mara park fees are USD 100 per adult per day from January to June and USD 200 from July to December. See our full Kenya safari cost guide for real budgets.
