What is included in your safari packages?
Usually your private vehicle and guide, accommodation, meals on safari, park fees, permits where listed and airport transfers. Each package page lists inclusions and exclusions.
Are international flights included?
No. International flights are not included, but we can advise on routes and book domestic and regional flights.
What is the best time to visit Kenya?
June to October and January to February are the dry seasons and best for game viewing. The Great Migration is usually in the Maasai Mara from July to October. Read more.
Is it safe to travel in Kenya?
Yes. Kenya welcomes large numbers of safari visitors every year. Your guide is with you throughout, and we monitor official travel advice.
Do I need vaccinations?
Yellow fever vaccination may be required depending on your route, and malaria prevention is recommended. Please check with a travel clinic 6 to 8 weeks before you travel.
Do I need a visa?
Kenya requires an online eTA for most visitors. The East Africa Tourist Visa covers Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda. Tanzania has its own visa.
What should I pack?
Neutral coloured clothing, a warm layer for early mornings, a hat, sunscreen, binoculars, a camera and comfortable shoes. For gorilla trekking add hiking boots, rain jacket and gloves.
Can I customise my tour?
Yes. Every itinerary can be changed: length, parks, lodges and activities.
What accommodation do you use?
From comfortable mid-range lodges and tented camps to luxury camps and boutique beach hotels. You choose the level.
Are your tours suitable for children?
Yes. We plan family safaris with child-friendly lodges and shorter driving days. Gorilla trekking has a minimum age of 15.
What payment methods do you accept?
Your quote lists the accepted payment methods, the deposit needed to confirm and the date the balance is due.
What is the maximum group size?
Private safaris can be for any group size. We use several vehicles for larger groups.
Will I have internet on safari?
Most lodges have Wi-Fi in main areas, and mobile coverage is good in much of Kenya. Remote areas may have limited signal.
Can you handle dietary needs?
Yes. Tell us about vegetarian, vegan, halal, gluten-free or allergy needs and we inform every lodge.
